In God's Time

I remember when I used get upset because all my ''bad'' qualities were not changed at once. As amazing as that would be, no one is perfect and that won't happen until the day Christ comes back. I'm happy that God hasn't overwhelmed me with everything that I do wrong and He has taken the time to let me know bit by bit which habits I need to pray for and which habits need to be changed. I'm thankful that He is faithful and even when I fall, I can run back to Him with scars and tears and He is still there ready to make me whole.

Perfection.

Don't.

Be.

Discouraged.

We All Fall Down...It's Inevitable.

It's The GETTING UP That Matters.

It's About Learning The LESSON.

It's About TAKING IT ALL IN, And Knowing That LIFE MOVES ON.

It's About SMILING, Even If There's Dirt On Your Face...

...Then LAUGHING Hysterically While Wiping It Off Because You Didn't Stay On The Ground And You PROVED TO YOURSELF That You Are A SURVIVOR.

It's About Being HUMBLE...Our Pride Sometimes Gets In The Way.

It's About Realizing That True HAPPINESS Has A Deeper Meaning.

It's About Realizing GOD'S TRUE LOVE For YOU.

It's About Learning How The Whole World Can LEAVE YOU When Things Go Wrong...But God Is ALWAYS There With OPEN ARMS.
Life truly BEGINS when we ACCEPT that we are not perfect. Be Yourself. Learn. Laugh. Love. DON'T GIVE UP.

Learning.

I'm learning things in ways I never thought I'd learn them before...

God has a way to make you into a better person and He's constantly showing me how to change...

He does it in a way that's so perfect that I sometimes wonder why I hadn't changed a long time ago.

I'm learning that each day is like taking a walk...you put one foot in front and then you put the other foot forward. The key aspect is that you do things one at a time.

If I serve the author of time, why can't I trust according to His time?

Like I said, I'm learning things in ways I never thought I'd learn them before...

One day I'm going to look back and smile...I'll smile because I had to learn to let go of my own ways and to learn to trust in ways I've never trusted before...all for the greater good of becoming a better person.

Cupid Strikes Again

Happy Valentine's Day to you all! :) Cheers to all the lovely couples... :) To all my single ladies....definitely to all my single men (lol)...overall I hope you all make sure that you still treat your significant other with love and care everyday as you should;....let's just call this a day to remind those who aren't doing so that they should rekindle their love with each other. And I also want to truly applaud the markets for issuing this creative $14.7 billion enterprise that robs you all of your hard earned money. ;-) <3

"When I say I'm a Christian" - My Diary

The poem above is so beautiful. For so long I had this image of what a Christian should be like or how they should behave, so I simply tried to avoid it. God finally spoke to me telling me that it is not by works that you are saved but by grace (Ephesians 2:8). "What does that mean?" I asked. He didn't speak, He showed me instead.

The image I had stuck in my head made me into a person that I shouldn't have taken energy to be. I was very stuck on proving that I was ''finally'' this Christian that was supposed to happen at one time or another. I saw that when I made a mistake I had to hide it.

I think the hardest part was after my mistake I would hear someone say: "why did you do that? I thought you were a Christian?", or the infamous use of reverse psychology: "You should do this for me, Christians behave like that".

How To Avoid Getting Hurt

If you were my friend, darling I would have a protection program for you which brings an army of large men to beat up everyone who hurts you...but 3 things:

1. Non-friends need not apply
2. Friends, read on...
3. I'm sorry friends but I don't have an army of large men. Yet.

We occasionally get hurt over serious issues and sometimes over petty things that shouldn't even matter. Either way, it's understandable that being emotional and vulnerable sometimes sucks...especially when you're getting to know someone.

During the beginning stages of a relationship with anyone, be it for a friendship or for dating, remember to apply a few ''rules'' in order for you to avoid getting hurt. Relationship expert, Kara Oh had 7 ideas and I think that they are genius! :) So my bb's check out her strategy after the jump!

How I Knew He Wasn't "The One"

I was browsing through my friend's issue of Glamour Magazine and saw an article called ''How I knew''. The article is mainly based on short essays by men on how they 'knew' certain things, such as 'How I Knew I'd Marry Her"...etc. My friend's issue had a post on "How I Knew She Wasn't The One" by Adam Sternbergh. He basically described how he knew that a certain woman was not The One until he eventually did meet the person who truly was 'The One'. It was pretty funny how he described most of the people, and ironically my friend then showed me another post by a girl who wrote a similar post to Sternbergh's. So........clearly out of my own boredom, and to continue this wonderful legacy of female empowerment until we find the right guy, I've decided to follow suit and write my own version of "How I Knew He Wasn't The One". :)

I See...

I love this picture; it reminds me of the movie "Love and Basketball" which is one of my favorite movies.

There are many ways to interpret this picture. Among my many thoughts, I see something real, caring, acceptance, and intimacy.

I Will Always Love You

"Watching you walk out of my life does not make me bitter or cynical about love. But rather makes me realize that if I wanted so much to be with the wrong person how beautiful it will be when the right one comes along."
-Anonymous

Have you ever really liked somebody and then you found out that there was something that you could not solve? Even if you couldn't solve it, you couldn't wait long enough to see if things would change, so your only option was to break up?

Have you ever broken up with somebody before it got too serious because you knew that if you were deeply in love with them it would later on be impossible to break up with them?

Piece of Your Heart

I have been having about five or so re-occurring conversations with my friends, acquaintances and just randoms who decide that they need to get something off their chest. BUT...the point is, I'm going to be sharing a few of these conversations in the months to come.

One conversation in particular was about relationships. This one is definitely for all you single guys and girls  who want a LASTING relationship that could lead to marriage in the far/near future; so if "your thing" right now is to explore and have flings, you can press the 'X' at the right of the screen.

If I Could....I Would...Fly Away With You

360 posts. That's my mission. Even if I write a sentence; I want to put it down on the page.

People have had such high expectations from me...and I've had to realize that I can't attain to them all...or to everyone. That is why, today, November 14, I'm living for me. I'm going to be real. I'm going to decide on what is truly important...what I need to do to get on by and to be with friends who truly love me for me.
